Waterfield Supported Homes


Waterfield Supported Homes provides personal care, support and accommodation for adults with mental health needs. Their accommodation and rehabilitation services are designed to provide a secure and therapeutic environment to enable service users to maintain their quality of life whilst receiving care and support for every day living.


Challenge:


Having gained a Good quality rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Waterfield Supported Homes wanted to make sure that their internal systems for managing compliance was robust. They wanted a system that helped staff to identify potential risks and provide them with an easy to use process for continual review and improvement of the service.


Solution:


Working with the Managing Director we assessed the existing system being used to manage compliance across the services and helped them to identify gaps where improvements could be made.


Using our experience of the sector and regulatory compliance, we devised a robust compliance-monitoring tool for use by various levels of the staff team to help them manage compliance related issues.


The simplicity of the tool meant that staff were encouraged to work in a way that supported continual improvement to the service and had the confidence to identify risks and raise potential issues quickly so that they could be solved.
